Leveling L1–68
- Act 1: run Molten StrikeStart with Molten Strike from Nessa after killing Hillock — strong 2H leveling skill that fits Juggernaut's armour-scaled tree. Leap Slam from Nessa as travel. Ancestral Call Support is the multi-target bread-and-butter. Ancestral Protector totem for rare and boss attack speed. You CAN level as KB from Act 1 if you really want to, but vendor-recipe 2H weapons are much cheaper than wands during the first two acts and Kinetic Blast's mana cost is punishing before Inspiration Support.
- Act 2: run Molten StrikeHerald of Ash from Yeena scales your physical hits, exactly what Molten Strike wants. Melee Physical Damage Support fills out the 4-link. Slot Cast when Damage Taken + Steelskin at L10. Bandit reward: kill all for +2 passives — the passive points matter more than any bandit power for a gear-dependent Juggernaut.
- Act 3 (KB swap): run Kinetic BlastThe transition. Pick up Kinetic Blast from Clarissa once you have a wand with added damage — vendor recipe (magic wand + topaz/sapphire/ruby ring + Whetstone) works. Swap Leap Slam to Flame Dash (the Library quest reward) since you no longer have a melee weapon. Pierce Support is non-negotiable on Kinetic Blast — without it the projectile stops on the first enemy. Herald of Ice replaces Herald of Ash. Lab 1 here: Undeniable — the accuracy bonus means you skip accuracy on gear entirely.
- Act 5–6: run Kinetic BlastWrath from Lilly Roth in Act 6 becomes your main aura — biggest damage multiplier available while leveling, since most of your damage is lightning-converted wand hits. Precision at low level covers any residual accuracy gaps. Elemental Damage with Attacks Support fills out the 5-link. Lab 2 in Act 6: Unflinching — endurance charges on hit and higher max, the first real defensive ramp starts here.
- Act 7–9: run Kinetic BlastSwap Lesser Multiple Projectiles Support for Greater Volley Support (3.28 Exceptional Support, replaces old GMP) once you can buy a copy. Inspiration Support handles Kinetic Blast's brutal mana cost and boosts damage — Juggernaut has no mana sustain in its ascendancy, so this support is doing real work. Lab 3 in Act 9: Unstoppable — stun immunity plus movespeed-as-armour, the build-defining node that makes KB Juggernaut's tanky identity click into place.
- Maps L68+: run Kinetic BlastRun Uber Lab at L68 for Unbreakable — doubles armour, converts a portion of armour to lightning and fire resistance, the single biggest defensive spike in the build. Add Haste as a third aura once cluster jewels give you reservation headroom. A separate single-target 4-link with Barrage Support is the bossing setup — all Kinetic Blast shockwaves in a concentrated cone. Push resists to 75% resist on all three before red maps, and take advantage of Unbreakable's armour-to-resistance to over-cap beyond 75% resist for Elemental Weakness map mods.
How leveling works
Kinetic Blast is a wand attack that fires a single projectile which explodes into several AoE shockwaves on hit, with added damage per nearby projectile. On a Juggernaut, the archetype flips from the usual glass-cannon wander playstyle into a tanky wand user — you trade Deadeye's projectile scaling and Ascendant's crit chance flexibility for Unstoppable's stun immunity, Unbreakable's doubled armour and armour-to-resistance conversion, and Unflinching's free endurance charges on hit. The result is a wander that actually survives — slower ceiling than the crit versions, but you can face-tank mechanics that kill every other KB build.
The canonical KB Juggernaut commits to accuracy-scaled (not crit-scaled) wand hits via Undeniable (Lab 1: 1% attack speed per 200 accuracy, strong scaling on a gear-heavy build), then stacks physical reduction via Unbreakable. The playstyle feels more like a right-click-to-delete-everything rhino than a kiting ranged build — you walk into packs, KB shockwaves the screen, and Unstoppable means you cannot be stunned or slowed out of it.
You do not level with Kinetic Blast. It needs a wand with added damage and a 4-link to function, and even then the mana cost is brutal at low levels. The recommended path is Molten Strike or Sunder for Acts 1–2 on a 2H weapon (Juggernaut's natural leveling weapon type thanks to the armour scaling on the tree), then swap to Kinetic Blast in Act 3 once Clarissa vendors the gem and you have a wander setup. Some pilots prefer to level as a melee Juggernaut all the way to Act 7 before transitioning — both paths work, the earlier swap gets you into the archetype sooner, the later swap has smoother campaign clear.
The Juggernaut ascendancy path is Undeniable (Lab 1: accuracy + attack speed scaling, the accuracy bonus lets you skip accuracy on gear entirely), Unflinching (Lab 2: endurance charges on hit and increased max), Unstoppable (Lab 3: stun immunity + movespeed-as-armour, the defining node), and Unbreakable (Uber Lab: armour and resistance scaling, the big defensive spike). No leveling uniques are mandatory — rare jewellery, a Tabula Rasa if you can get one, and standard capped resists cover gear until maps.
Gear while leveling
- · Wand: any 1H wand with added physical or elemental damage during the campaign. Vendor recipe (magic wand + topaz/sapphire/ruby ring + Whetstone) is the cheap route. The endgame target is a rare high-base-damage wand (Profane Wand, Imbued Wand) with "added X damage" prefixes and attack speed — KB Juggernaut does not rely on crit as hard as KB Deadeye, so flat damage rolls matter more than crit chance.
- · Shield: rare shield with life, resists, and armour. Juggernaut's tree is armour-heavy — Unbreakable doubles your armour, so a big armour shield compounds hard. Dual-wand is an option for extra damage but you lose the defensive layer Juggernaut needs to justify its class pick.
- · Body armour: Tabula Rasa if available — 6-link beats any rare while leveling. Otherwise 4-link armour chest (pure armour, NOT evasion) with life and resists. Pure armour bases are the endgame target to maximise the Unbreakable conversion.
- · Helmet: life + resists + armour. Belly of the Beast-adjacent "max life" rolls matter more on Juggernaut than any crit helmet, since you are not crit-scaled. Devoto's Devotion helmet for movement speed + attack speed if you want mapping tempo.
- · Gloves: life, resists, attack speed. Rare gloves beat most uniques here — attack speed + life is the target.
- · Boots: life, resists, movement speed. Kaom's Roots is a strong transitional pick — freeze, stun, and knockback immunity plus big life, though it costs movement speed. Use it if you struggle with the campaign bosses.
- · Rings/amulet: life + resists with attribute fix-ups. crit multiplier on the amulet is nice-to-have but not mandatory. Le Heup of All covers attributes during the campaign.
- · Belt: Stygian Vise is the best base for the abyss jewel socket. Life + resists on the belt itself, then a life/damage abyss jewel. Meginord's Girdle is a cheap transitional pick.
- · Quiver: skip until maps. Drillneck once you are in yellow maps — 100% pierce removes the Pierce Support slot and scales damage.
- · Flasks: life flask with bleed-removal, mana flask (Kinetic Blast drains mana fast and Juggernaut lacks ascendancy mana sustain), quicksilver, granite (huge on Juggernaut thanks to armour scaling), and an iron skin or stibnite. Rumi's Concoction is the endgame flask pick for block layering.
Weapon progression
Vendor-recipe 2H weapons (magic 2H + Rustic Sash + Whetstone → guaranteed flat physical prefix) carry Molten Strike through Acts 1–2. At the Act 3 KB swap, move to vendor-recipe magic wands (wand + topaz/sapphire/ruby ring + Whetstone → guaranteed elemental damage roll) and keep buying a new magic wand every few levels. The endgame target is a rare high-base-damage wand with "added X damage" prefixes and attack speed — Profane Wand or Imbued Wand bases are ideal. KB Juggernaut does not need the crit-heavy wand that KB Deadeye does, so a pure flat-damage rare is usually cheaper and does the job fine. Do not sink currency into a wand before yellow maps — any 4-link wand with attack speed gets you there.
Tree to aim for (by level 90)
Watch out for
- ! Juggernaut has no mana sustain in its ascendancy — Inspiration Support is doing double duty on this build, both for damage and mana cost reduction. Unlike Hierophant's Sanctuary of Thought or Trickster's Patient Reaper, you need mana-leech on a ring or a big mana-per-hit roll to stabilise KB's brutal cost. Plan for it before maps.
- ! Juggernaut's tree is armour-based — do NOT put on an evasion chest or pure evasion helmet thinking "more defense is better." Armour and evasion do not stack; Unbreakable doubles armour specifically. Commit to armour bases across the board.
- ! Do NOT take Point Blank — KB Juggernaut wants to face-tank packs with Unstoppable's stun immunity active, but the projectile range penalty from PB actively hurts shockwave spread. Skip it.
- ! Greater Volley Support is the 3.28 Mirage Exceptional Support that replaced Greater Multiple Projectiles. GMP no longer exists. Older build guides referencing GMP should be mentally substituted for Greater Volley Support.
- ! Kinetic Blast needs pierce to feel right — without it the initial projectile stops on the first enemy and clear falls off a cliff. Pierce Support is non-negotiable until Drillneck gives you 100% pierce.
- ! Unstoppable only grants stun immunity, not freeze/chill immunity. You still need Wanderlust/boots-with-freeze-immunity or a flask roll to cover cold mobs. A common Juggernaut mistake is assuming Unstoppable = all-CC-immunity — it is not.
- ! KB Juggernaut's damage ceiling is lower than Deadeye or Ascendant — the build trades burst for tankiness, so single-target against endgame bosses is slower. Plan on a Barrage Support single-target link and accept that Shaper-tier bosses take multiple rotations rather than one-shot bursts.
Early Mapping L70–84
- Secure Lethal Pride timeless jewel (98% endgame adoption) in the Karui cluster — it conquers sword/axe/Strength nodes into more damage + life + armour depending on the seed
- Pick up Point Blank on the tree (81% endgame adoption) — KB's forked projectiles hit hardest at short range, and Point Blank multiplies close-range damage substantially
- Target Bound By Destiny prismatic jewel for the 10% increased Strength if 2 Warlord items equipped / 15% with 4 conditional — Juggernaut can build toward multi-influence gear to stack those bonuses

How this stage plays (mechanics, defences)
Early mapping is already running the full Strength-stacking chassis at L84 on the reference — Replica Alberon's Warpath boots, The Iron Fortress chest, Astramentis amulet (+90 to all attributes), Mageblood belt, and the pair of Emperor's Might + Emperor's Mastery timeless-era prismatic jewels already allocated. Strength sits at 2539, which drives the whole damage equation. The 6-link in the chest runs Kinetic Blast + Summon Sacred Wisps + Greater Fork Support + Greater Multiple Projectiles Support + Volatility Support + Increased Critical Damage Support — the meta setup of the tier. Greater Multiple Projectiles Support + Greater Fork Support multiplicatively stack projectile count, and each projectile detonates its own KB area explosion.
The wand is a rare Kinetic Wand (Rapture Thirst) with "Cannot roll Caster Modifiers," 38% crit chance, 92% increased Spell Damage (feeds Spellslinger spells), 13% attack speed, and the critical line: Attacks with this Weapon Penetrate 16% Chaos Resistance. Replica Alberon's Warpath's 1 to 80 Chaos Damage per 80 Strength at 2539 Strength adds roughly 32 to 2540 chaos damage per hit — more than the wand's own local mods combined. Iron Will + Iron Grip keystones both live on the tree to translate Strength into attack + spell damage. Versatile Combatant pairs attack block and spell block. Blood Magic commits mana to life (the build Mageblood-pays for flask effects but uses life as cast fuel). Spellslinger + Tornado in the boots auto-casts Tornado on every wand attack. Precision + Purity of Elements + Vitality (via Eternal Blessing Support) run as the aura stack. The ascendancy has Unflinching, Unstoppable, Undeniable already picked — three of the four Juggernaut nodes. Tree allocates Juggernaut, Master of the Arena, Beef, Art of the Gladiator, Defiance.
The Juggernaut defensive stack is already mature. 12.7k armour + 5 endurance charges + Unflinching drives physical damage reduction to 73%, 65% attack block comes from Iron Fortress's +1% block per 50 Strength (roughly +50% at this Strength level) plus the rare Tower Shield, and Versatile Combatant converts that into 13% spell block. Unflinching + Unstoppable grant stun immunity and action-speed immunity. EHP 64k is massively above the tier norm — the tier has no p75 data but the median EHP at endgame is 88k, so this early-mapping build is already in endgame territory thanks to overtuned gear.
Progenesis flask ("25% of life loss from damage taken occurs over 4 seconds instead") is present from L84 — 68% aspirational adoption confirms this is the tier's defining defensive flask. Chaos resist 75% with +36% overcap is fully protected. All four elemental resists cap at 82-86% with significant overcap. Molten Shell on Automation Support handles spike hits, Withering Step + More Duration Support provides wither + elusive on demand. Pantheon Solaris + Shakari for chain-hit prevention and chaos DoT cap.
Measured wander combat, tanky throughout. 3.77 attacks per second is slow for a wander but each hit deposits massive flat chaos damage from the Strength-Alberon's chain. Kinetic Blast projectiles fork via Greater Fork Support + fan via Greater Multiple Projectiles Support, so one click produces multiple overlapping detonations. Spellslinger-linked Tornado auto-deploys a damaging vortex on every wand swing. Shield Charge + Faster Attacks Support + Momentum Support covers traversal, Frostblink is the gap-closer. Blood Rage + Eternal Blessing Support + Purity of Elements reserves mana for ailment immunity. Assassin's Mark + Mark On Hit Support applies crit-chance and power-charge-on-kill curse. Astramentis's +90 to all attributes is the base attribute multiplier that makes everything else work. Kalandra's Touch is already in ring 2, mirroring the rare Apocalypse Grip Helical Ring (+42% crit multi, +98 Strength, suffix-magnitude-maxed rare).

Endgame L85–94
- Endgame keeps the same chassis but scales every slot. Strength climbs to 2841, sheet DPS jumps to 4.1M (tier median 3.15M), and Eyes of the Greatwolf replaces Astramentis in the amulet for 32% increased Attributes + 56% increased Spell Damage (Iron Will multiplier) with the "Implicit Modifier magnitudes are doubled" implicit doubling both lines. A rare Giantslayer Helmet with "+1 to Level of Socketed Projectile Gems" + "Gain Accuracy Rating equal to your Strength" arrives — Strength now directly covers accuracy requirements.
- Pick up Forbidden Flame + Forbidden Flesh allocating Ngamahu, Flame's Advance — 93% aspirational adoption for the conditional fire damage stacking that works with the build's Strength-to-spell-damage chain
- Secure Progenesis flask (68% aspirational adoption) for the life-loss-over-4s smoothing — it's the defining defensive flask of the Juggernaut archetype
- Add Point Blank to the tree (81% endgame / 88% aspirational) — KB projectiles with Greater Fork Support's fork-on-impact pattern benefit hugely from the close-range multiplier

How this stage plays (mechanics, defences)
The 6-link stays identical — Kinetic Blast + Summon Sacred Wisps + Greater Fork Support (downgraded to Lv1 in the reference, suggesting Greater Multiple Projectiles is the primary setup) + Volatility Support + Void Manipulation Support + Increased Critical Damage Support + Greater Multiple Projectiles Support. Void Manipulation Support (58% tier adoption) is the new chaos-damage multiplier that pairs with the Alberon's chaos adds, and Increased Critical Damage Support at 98% adoption plus Volatility Support at 101% (the tier's near-universal supports) are the damage scaling. Sacred Wisps orbit as a minion-aura damage multiplier.
The wand (Honour Bane) swaps to 82 to 142 chaos damage flat rolls, 18% attack speed, and keeps 16% chaos penetration — chaos-on-chaos compounding. Eyes of the Greatwolf's doubled-implicit gives 32% attributes × 2 effect and 56% spell damage × 2 via Iron Will. Kalandra's Touch mirrors the rare Empyrean Loop Helical Ring (+37% crit multi, +98 Strength, 34% global accuracy, suffix-magnitude-maxed). Sniper's Mark + Mark On Hit Support + Berserk in the weapon socket provides boss burst and crit amplification. Arcanist Brand + Tornado in the boots auto-deploys branded tornadoes on enemies. The tree runs Unflinching, Unstoppable, Undeniable ascendancy + Juggernaut, Master of the Arena, Utmost Might, Berserking, Huntleader, Stamina, Bravery. Keystones: Iron Will (100% tier adoption), Versatile Combatant (90%), Blood Magic (89%).
EHP 90k, right at the tier median of 88k. 79% physical damage reduction from 12.5k armour + 6 endurance charges + Unflinching. 65% attack block via Iron Fortress's Strength-block at 2841 Strength plus the rare Colossal Tower Shield's 49% block chance, and Versatile Combatant converts 50% of that into spell block. Chaos resist 64%, fire / cold / lightning all at 84% with massive overcap (+61 fire, +64 cold, +44 lightning).
Purity of Elements at 91% tier adoption + Precision at 82% + Vitality at 73% is the aura defensive-offensive pair — Purity for ailment immunity, Vitality for life regen layered with Watcher's Eye's Vitality-leech interaction. Life regen 557 sustains sustained-combat recovery. Watcher's Eye's +48% chaos res while affected by Purity of Elements + 24 life per hit while affected by Vitality closes gaps. Pantheon Lunaris + Abberath for chain-hit reduction and burning-ground immunity.
8.72 attacks per second — a big speed jump from early mapping thanks to the Summon Sacred Wisps's damage scaling plus the tree's accumulated attack-speed nodes. KB explosions fan out via Greater Multiple Projectiles Support, each detonating its own area payload, and the Strength-Alberon's chaos adds deposit massive flat damage on every hit regardless of whether the projectile crit. Kalandra's Touch mirroring the Empyrean Loop adds doubled crit-multi + Strength + accuracy. The rhythm is walk-forward-click — the Juggernaut doesn't need to weave or dodge, it stands and shoots while 79% PDR + 65% block + Progenesis + endurance charges absorb incoming damage. Single-target burst comes from the Berserk + Sniper's Mark + Mark On Hit Support weapon link — Berserk converts rage into a temporary more-damage / more-action-speed window for pinnacle boss DPS checks.

Aspirational L95–100
- The aspirational pattern is extremely uniform: 100% Alberon's adoption, 100% Split Personality, 100% Lethal Pride, 99% Bound By Destiny, 97% Iron Fortress, 96% Watcher's Eye, 93% Forbidden pair, 77% Kalandra's Touch, 68% Progenesis. The reference character hits Strength 4162 — nearly double the endgame reference — through Split Personality × 2 + Emperor's Might + Emperor's Mastery + Lethal Pride + Bound By Destiny's conditional Strength bonuses layered over Mageblood + Astramentis-tier attribute density.

How this stage plays (mechanics, defences)
Sheet DPS reads 29M at 100% crit chance and 4.82x crit multi, 8.81 attacks per second. Tier median is 17M, so this reference is above p75 (26M). The 6-link is Kinetic Blast + Volatility Support + Greater Fork Support + Summon Sacred Wisps + Void Manipulation Support + Increased Critical Damage Support — Volatility Support at 100% adoption, Summon Sacred Wisps at 97%, Increased Critical Damage Support at 97%, Greater Fork Support at 68%, Void Manipulation Support at 70%. The weapon (Torment Weaver) runs 80 to 109 chaos damage, 17% attack speed, 33% crit chance, +30% crit multi, 16% chaos pen, 61% spell damage — every line feeds the build's levers simultaneously.
At 4162 Strength, Replica Alberon's Warpath's chaos adds scale to roughly 52 to 4160 flat chaos per hit — more than the entire rest of the weapon combined. Iron Fortress's Strength-to-block-chance grants +83% block chance before shield investment, capping block trivially on the rare Heat-attuned Tower Shield (Carrion Rock, 42% increased block chance, 5% of Life when you Block). Iron Will converts the Strength-to-damage multiplier globally, and Point Blank adds the close-range KB multiplier. Oblivion Idol amulet replaces Eyes of the Greatwolf on this specific reference — a Simplex base with "100% increased Explicit Modifier magnitudes" doubling every other mod, including 26% increased Strength. Kalandra's Touch mirrors the rare Soul Spiral Helical Ring (+166 Strength, +71% crit multi, suffix-maxed) for doubled Strength and crit multi. Dying Sun flask (+2 projectiles) pairs with Greater Fork Support for explosive projectile count on every KB shot. Forbidden Flame + Forbidden Flesh allocate Ngamahu, Flame's Advance. Bound By Destiny's conditional "15% increased Strength if 2 Warlord items equipped" fits cleanly because multiple gear slots can roll Warlord influence. Watcher's Eye grants +36% chaos res while affected by Purity of Elements + 1.04% damage leeched as life while affected by Vitality. Cluster jewels carry Overwhelming Malice, Touch of Cruelty, Unholy Grace, Drive the Destruction, Feed the Fury, Martial Prowess.
EHP 125k on the reference, tier median 202k, p75 244k — this reference is under-tanked for aspirational (the player pushed damage past defence). At median investment the defensive stack is: 11k life, 90% physical damage reduction cap via 21.9k armour + 7 endurance charges + Unflinching, 65% attack block + 72% spell block from Iron Fortress's +83% Strength-block + Versatile Combatant. Life regen 842 from Vitality + regen mods + Juggernaut sustains between hits.
Progenesis is missing from this specific reference's flask slot (replaced by Dying Sun for the projectile count) but 68% of aspirational builds run it. Chaos resist 32% on the reference is undercapped — the median aspirational build covers chaos via Watcher's Eye + chaos rolls + Progenesis-style flask smoothing. Fire / cold / lightning all cap at 75-81% with overcap (+74 fire). Unflinching + Unstoppable + Undeniable ascendancy grants stun immunity, freeze immunity, action-speed cap, and permanent +1 max endurance charge. Pantheon Lunaris + Abberath for chain reduction and burning-ground immunity.
The apex KB Juggernaut is walk-forward-shoot-tank. 8.81 attacks per second with 100% crit chance means every single KB fire lands as a guaranteed crit depositing 4000+ flat chaos damage via Replica Alberon's Warpath's Strength conversion, amplified through Iron Will's spell-damage-becomes-attack-damage chain, multiplied by Void Manipulation Support and Volatility Support, then detonated across multiple overlapping area explosions via Greater Fork Support + Greater Multiple Projectiles Support + Dying Sun's +2 projectiles. Power Charge On Critical Support + Spellslinger + Tornado in the off-hand auto-casts Tornado on every wand swing for background DPS plus power charge generation. Feel is methodical tank-wander — the Juggernaut doesn't dodge, it absorbs and shoots back. 90% PDR + 65/72% block + 7 endurance charges + stun/freeze immunity + +1 max endurance from Unflinching means most hits do nothing. Single-target against pinnacle bosses uses Sniper's Mark + Mark On Hit Support + Berserk for focused-hit damage amplification. Mageblood covers the utility flask stack permanently. The one pressure point is chaos-damage spike hits (-54% to +32% chaos resist across builds), covered by Progenesis at median investment.
